My thanks to anyone who responds! I have a Canonet 28 that the film speed is stuck on 100 ASA. Any suggestions on how to repair? I have never attempted camera repair but am technically and mechanically inclined. I have a 24" pipe wrench and am not afraid to use it!

It has been some time since I had one of these. Aren't you supposed to push the tab in while moving it left/right? Force it (gently).

Yes you do.

I don't think there's a Canonet 28 manual there.

Basically, if the ASA lever is stuck it's going to be a mechanical problem. The lever moves an electrical contact across a PCB, as I remember it, to select different resistors. I can't see it can be anything major.

Access is through the front of the lens.
