hi, i just bought an agfa super solinette. The "distance setting ring" does works well (or that's what i'm thinking), but I can't make any coincidence between the two images in the viewer.

Sounds like the arm holding the mirror in the rangefinder is "frozen" and needs a degreasing.

Sometimes, the focusing ring will be forced, and is slipping on the set screws, making you think the lens is working. Make sure the front element is rotating along with the ring. Also, observe with a loupe or magnifying glass, the image on a piece of tape placed across the image frame to make sure the lens is actually focusing. If those check out alright , then you have a frozen cam arm in the finder.

But if the camera hasn't been worked on in quite a while (or ever), it would be a good idea to do a teardown and cleanup anyway.
