I have an Argus C3 Matchmatic which has made some nice pictures for me. I noticed recently that the rangefinder wasn't working properly, and opening it up revealed that one of the little cast metal hooks that holds the coil spring is broken. The piece I need is shown in the attached photo.rf mech

I do still need the part, and would be very pleased to get it.

I have to admit to being surprised by the failure of the spring anchor. I had thought the C3 design was clunky, but solid. However, it seemed pretty clear that the part was poorly formed, and the spring pressure just pulled the top off.

Thanks for your generous response. I've been able to help out a few people here in the past, so it is nice to see that there is still a viable community of old camera nuts.

If you click on a name in the left column, you will be taken to the person's profile and offered the option of sending a private message.

I thought the part I need was in the mail, but apparently not. So, if anyone has some spare C3 parts, I would greatly like to obtain the rf unit shown above.

I appreciate the effort. I've also sent a couple to you. The message system has worked ok for me in the past, but maybe something is broken.
