30 years ago I owned a Contax II with a Sonnar 50mm f2 lens. With it I produced what were probably the best pics of my life. Recently I bought a Zorki C with a Jupiter 50mm f2 lens. It is a tiny camera but the lens makes it bulky. Is there a collapsible lens with the perfomance of the Sonnar that I could use to make it a pocket camera? |

I use a couple of 1960 Leitz collapsible Summicron 50mm/f2 lenses on my early Zorki 1 bodies. I also have a late production coated Summitar 50/f2 which performs rather well. You will find that all early Zorki bodies can benefit from careful adjustment of the lens register distance and a check that the optical axis is at rightangles to the film plane. You should check out this site for other possibilities. www.cameraquest.com/ltmlens.htm . |
