I was at the antique store again today :D and there was a Petri 7s for $15 I have read a little on them but I don't have too much experience with them otherwise. Do you guys think I should grab it, the shutter appears to be functioning well and the light meter is active.

Well I ended up going back and buying the Petri, as mentioned it all seems to be functioning well the range finder is quite dim though so I might do a search on that. Here is a photo of it.

They are a good RF camera and repair info is not to hard to find. Lots of them sold through Army BXs during Vietnam.

Yeah I found a repair manual online, can't remember now though so that should be helpful. It has the usual clunk at the end of the film advance, then again my AE-1 does the same thing :D I ran a roll of film through it this weekend and it is a fun little camera to use, I think I well be carrying this one around a bit with me. I am going to try and develop some of my ever growing stack of rolls of film next week so I can see how well it works.

I finally developed the first roll of film from this camera and it looks very good, the focus is sharp and the contrast is good so apparently the light meter is still in good order and the mirrors are set properly.
