I obtained this camera, including a Cosina 50mm lens, from an estate. The equipment appears to be in good condition although I have not yet run a roll of film through it. Can anyone tell me anything about this camera including who/when/where it was manufactured? |

Made 1980. Pentax K mount. Made in Far East by Cosina, they make optical glass, lenses and cameras - including the latest Voigtlander range. Cosina have manufactured 35mm SLR cameras for many distributors and manufactures, including Nikon (FM 10 / FE 10) and Olympus (OM-2000).
If you Google make and type you will find many entries. www.butkus.org has a downloadable instruction manual available. |

COSINA is over 40 year,a JAPENESE BRAND At frist which called NIKO.later called cosina.mainly product M42 camera like CSM PK MOUNT like CX-1 ,ODM product and thrid factory lens in 2nd Genation Who like leica and germany camera and find it is dead end if only OEm product so buy the violantager brand and product new ranger finder camera R1 it is base on NIKON FM10 .it is L 39MOUNT R2 is VM mount using LEICA M mount.ROllei RF35 is R2 OEM exapmle,othera like ZEISS IKON and EPSON R1.
Nowdays mainly product ZEISS LENS like Zk(PENTAX,ZS(M42),ZF(NIKON)
