Zeiss ikonta 523/16 works well except exposure button intermittently sticking resulting in wasting of film.
Please advise.

I haven't had this particular model of Ikonta apart, but the shaft transmitting the button motion to the shutter release and/or the double exposure interlock are probably the culprit.

It probably just needs a simple disassembly, cleaning and relubrication. Top plate removal ought to be pretty straightforward.

Out of curosity, how does this waste film? Unless you're using a B (bulb) shutterspeed, if the shutter opens it then ought to close on its own. I guess I don't understand the problem.

Its possible that the shutter fires as soon as you cock it for the next frame. Is this what its doing as a result of the sticky button?
