The Synchro Compur shutter unit with bayonet lens mount on the Baldamatic III closely resembles that of the Kodak Retina Reflex and Retina IIIS. Is it possible to mount the Schneider lenses for the Retinas on the Baldamatic III?

Yes, it is ! Additionally, the Iloca Electric, Voigtlaender Ultramatic/Bessamatic, Instamatic Reflex and the Edixa Electronica share the bayonet. Some lens version (for the RF cameras) have a rangefinder coupling, some (for the SLR cameras) have not. The bayonet is only slightly different and can be modified by little metal work (take care of not letting any metal dust into the lenses !). That way, I have arranged lenses from 28 to 350 mm focal length with the different camera bodies including using the revolutionary Voigtlaender 2,8/36-82 mm Zoomar on my Retina Reflex.
