I just bought this " gem" ?? and after finding out the self-timer was bad, ( let that pass) the hot shoe would only work sometimes with a heavy flash (vivitar 283) if it tipped the camera or used a lighter hot shoe flash I had to press down on the flash so it would work. is this a cronic problem? is there an easy fix? I tried shims. etc with noi sucess. it seems to be a cosina in discuise, |

i don't think any of these are Cosina products. the KR10 Super II is either similar to the KR10 or to the XR7, i don't remember which; i have top removal sketches for both of those. email me for a copy : ) = |

it's actually a ricoh kr-5 super II thanks to the sketches provided by rick oleson and his assurances that " there were no springs that wiould fly out" a friend and I took apart the camera, removing the top and cleaning and adjusting the center contact and bending up the springy arm that contacted the prong on the hot shoe center contact. the flash not works when the camerra is held in any position. |
