Hi,

I shot a film with a Kodak Retina Automatic III rangefinder. The pictures were OK.
Now the camera has no film in and when I try to change the f-stops, although the ring moves, the blades in the lens won't move and the f-stops stay on the widest aperture.
Is this a normal feature with this camera when there is no film in, or is something broken?
If something does not work, how can it be repaired.
Thank you for any ideas you may have.

E. V.

It sounds like the blades are oily. Notr an easy camera to repair--you might have trouble finding someone will to do it.

Thank you Ed. I sometimes go to a country that is not very popular in the media but where you find good camera repair services. I guess I will take my Kodak with me next time.
