when advancing the film , the rewind lever stays at the fully advanced position (doesn't return)until the shutter is clicked. Please help.

G'day Ian,

Normally this is caused by a broken spring on one of the levers that form part of the shutter and film advance interlock. You will need parts from a suitable organ donor, contact me directly for further advice.
