Posted on Friday, May 05, 2006 - 07:39 am:        I don't want to rain on your parade, but the taking and viewing lenses are matched on a Rollei. You need both! Short of smashing it completely, what can't be repaired on your lens? Arax does polishing/multicoating for only about $30 + shipping to/from the ukraine - but you need to send them the glass only, no metal mounts (I think the Xenotar front element is just loose glass). Many experts can fix a separated lens economically.
