How does this string linkage allow for meter adjustment? I can set the camera up to meter correctly but somehow the ASA speed dial ends up turned way out of position. I could just force it into the new location but that seems an unlikely solution to expect! I suspect they built in an adjustment but I can't figure it out.

Probably lost the timing on the meter assembly. Somehere I have notes for doing this correctly. If interested, I'll look them up & scan/send the info.

pull up on the outer "ring" of the shutter speed dial, now you can move the asa meter freely
