I was taking some long exposures at night with a cable release. I forgot to relese the shutter and wound the film. Now the camera ceized working. The shutter is stuck wide open, the mirror is flipped up, and the film doesnt wind. I got a new battery, nothing. The light meter works, so does the battery check. Any idea how to go about this?

It sounds like you may have ripped the advance mechanism out of alignment or even chipped some of the gears. We specialize in service and repair of Manual and Auto SLR cameras and are familiar with this particular problem.

Our repair estimate is flat $53.00 and includes repair, complete overhaul and return s/h. Visit our web site for more details.

thanks will do, it will be sent, don't be surprised if its in pieces. I took the covers off to diagnose the problem, I'll leave that to the professionals from now on.
