HELP PLEASE I HAVE AN OLD SEARS TLS 35MM MADE BY RICOH IT WAS MY 1ST BEEN WORKING FINE NOW THE LIGHT METER IS JUMPY JUST STARTED DOING THIS I PUT IN A NEW BATTERY HAD IT C.L.A BACK ON XMAS WAS MY GIFT FROM THE WIFE IT'S OLD IS IT WORTH FIXING OR IS THERE SOMTHING I CAN CHECK MYSELF P.S GREAT SITE

Hi Jacob,
My Ricoh Singlex TLS does the same thing, and is, I believe, a common problem with these cameras. Otherwise, they are built like tanks, and pretty much go on for ever. I recall reading somewhere on the web that cleaning the needle pivot with a little solvent can clear up the problem, but can't recall the source.
