I am trying to remove the inner (far end from camera body)lens to clean it and cannot figure out how to remove it once I have the outer lens removed! It has a build up on it from the years of sitting, but it seems to be dust and not some form of dreaded fungus. HELP!

I'm not sure if I can help as I'm not familiar with that particular lens but I am with other Vivitar zooms which may help. The problem is I'm not sure that I understand the question. Do you mean that you've removed the front element and you now wish to get at the next in line?
