I have a Nikon AS (DP-11) finder in which the string that connects the shutter speed dial to the shutter speed indicator is broken. Does anyone have any instructions/words of wisdom in making this repair?

If the DP-12 or DP-3 string is broken, then part of knob assembly with the string has to replaced. DP-1/2/11 are much easier, as a new string can be used without changing any parts.
