Am trying to put a 3.5F faceplate back on...realizing the aperture gear sync to meter is a little tricky...I put the apertrue at f/22 and the shutter at 1 sec..and the meter at O and ASA25...but can't get the meter to engage properly...what is the trick here? TY in advance.

Kirk is this an early F model with the gears around the outside of the shutter casing? If so I have some (long and involved) instructions I could pass on to you. I haven't worked on an F model but I know that I've got a copy of the directions for getting the front cover on that particular type of F.
