This was just mentioned in the Canon AE1 post below, but I felt it deserved a separate listing.

The best repair guides that I have ever found have been those published by National Camera, either as manuals or as articles in their Camera Craftsman journal. Both are still available, though they are not free.

National Camera manuals can be found at http://www.natcam.net/manuals.html

These are superior to original factory service manuals in virtually every case.

I agree. But let us not forget the SPT Journals too.
