I sold a Chinon CS to a friend recently. It was in full working order. It was given back to me. The lens cap was cracked, the filter ring has a dent, and the battery is now missing. Any idea on what battery it should have? Otherwise, it's good. |

My literature indicates that your camera used an EXP625 battery which is a mercury type battery and no longer available. There has been a lot of discussion about substitutes on this forum, so look in the archives. I believe you will find info in this years archieves. |

I have it. I used an alkaline 625A battery as a substitute. It has a slightly higher voltage, but if I just meter with the needle a bit higher, I should get away with it. |
