Look at my problem with the Zeiss Ikonta. Well... in my case it resolved from himself.

I assume its a Prontor shutter on that camera. (you don't say what kind of shutter!)

There is an arm with a hairspring on it that catches a notch in the mainspring mechanism that holds the shutter until you press the release.

I have seen Prontor shutters with that hairspring broken, I have also seen them forced and the levers bent in that area. Its a bit of a job but fixable if you carefully bend the levers back and reshape them if necessary, and/or have some spare hairsprings around from various junk cameras.
