Hi Glenn,

Thankyou kindly for your great suggestion .... I'll be going to the nearest Hobby shop soon to find the piano wire. I had a car accident on Tuesday, and have been too busy panel beating my car back into shape. Will let you know how it all goes soon... Cheers...

Hi Glenn,

The finest piano wire did the trick, in fact. The spring it seems keeps the film in position, whilst the lens is swung out of the way for inspection, of the film gate. THe first wire I used was way too strong and so did not allow the lens to close properly.

Since the fix, I was only able to see a short movie 3 times before the main motor belt broke. I guess nothing lasts forever. A quick trip to the nearest Seals shop for an Oil Seal, the diameter of the original as a replacement, seems to have solved the belt problem. The man there did not know what to charge me. It was too small a purchase he thought. I gave hime a couple of dollars for my own peace of mind. He said he could even build a belt with the same square dimensions if I needed one. I asked how much would it cost. He said probably $20:00 dollars for 1 or 4 or 5 dollars each if I ordered 4 of them. What is the difference in price there? :-):-):-) Too Good I thought. I may use his Services in the future for any other odd belt I may need. Take Care...Cheers
