Just purchased one on ebay. Popped in new batteries and the light meter does not work. Any suggestion. Camera is in pristine condition otherwise.

Hi, Scout,
I have several of them. One bought new many years ago. If you're using the right batteries and have them in the correct way, try pushing the depth of field preview button a number of times. This is what activates the meter. Also check the asa setting. If I remember correctly, too high an asa setting will be outside of the meters range. I had that happen once.
