I recently purchased a Canon FT QL camera that needs the mirror seal replaced. Please advice on where to get the part and if recomended instead to send to a repair center.
Thanks

Do an eBay search for user name interslice . Jon Goodman, who runs an eBay store with that user name is also a frequent contributor to this forum and is highly recommended.

All the best,

Look in the 'Articles' section under general articles for Jon Goodman's detailed notes on replacing seals. Also when you buy one of Jon's kits, ask him to include his instruction sheets for Canon SLR. This is a simple DIY repair - Jon's kits and instructions make sure this is true for the first time novice.

The lens is dirty with old foam pieces, Can you recommend any cleaner and/or cleaning options?
Thanks.
