I'm reviving a FX-3. The last problem is the LED readout in the view finder always shows only the 'Underexposed' LED lit up. Any ideas ?

The problem is the LED readout in the view finder. The 'over' & 'correct' LEDs show for about a 1/10 of a second and then it always shows only the 'Underexposed' LED lit up, as if the light level is way too low

I've used new batteries, rinsed under the ASA dial with Ronsonol, and am out of ideas..
