I'm thinking of dripping a bit of Ronsonol into my ASA dial to see if it's the problem with my Yashica FX-3 light meter only showing ' underexposed'

Bad Idea ?

i don't think it will do any harm (just a drop, though, don't squirt it all over), but i don't know if it will help either. if it's a matter of dirty contacts underneath failing to make connection, then this could help.

Well, I tried it & it nether helped nor hurt my problem.
(I'm reviving a FX-3. The last problem is the LED readout in the view finder always shows only the 'Underexposed' LED lit up. Any ideas ?)

I was hoping the ASA settings were 'stuck' some how...

No, it's not.

(Ronsonol is a brand of lighter fluid used as a solvent.)
