I took the cover off of my Graflex shutter (135mm Optar) and a coil spring fell out. I can not figure out where it goes. Two other parts fell and but I got them back where they belong. Does anyone have a picture of the insides of this shutter or know it one is available on-line so I can find out where this spring goes?

Thanks Dan. My shutter seems a little more complex; maybe it's the bi-polar flash connection. Definitely more works than your photos show. I'll look and see what matches what and see if the photos help.

It sounds like you have the top version with the full sync. Download the manual and look at pages 11 and following. Pages 12 and 13 show the synchronizer.

Thanks again Dan. After looking at the manual, it looks like the high speed spring. I owe you. If you ever work on a Contaflex, I have a copy of the service manual for the I, II, III and IV.
