HI
THE FOCUS RING ON MY CHINON 55MM F1.4 LENS HAS SUDDENLY CAME LOOSE .IT HAS ABOUT A QUARTER TURN OF BACKLASH. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM.ANY ADVICE ON HOW TOO FIX IT

As I recall, there are three screws which hold it in place. To reach these, you need to unscrew and remove the front trim ring (there are two slots which provide you a place to grip, etc). If this idea is not familiar to you, please prowl around the excellent articles on this site. When that ring is removed, you'll see the three screws. You'll need to tighten them. Good luck.
