Hi all. I'd like to replace the microprism focusing screen with a split image screen. Any ideas as to how to accomplish said task and where I might find such a screen? Is this even possible? Thanks everyone. Greg

you probably need to strip a parts camera for a screen. K1000SE had a split image screen; i think a screen from a KX would probably fit too but i have never tried it.

to replace the screen you have to remove the top cover and pull out the prism. not impossible, but not something you do in your sleep either.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to let a camera shop take some money away from me.
