Does anyone know anything about the Orec shutter in the Semflex TLR? Is it similar to the Prontor or Compur? Who could fix this type of shutter? Thanks for any guidance.

Yes, I have repaired two of them. It is somewhat similar to early Compur (rim-set) shutters. The shape of the leaves is different and similar to those of the Prontor shutters.

They suffer from the same things as any old shutters: gummed escapement gears and gummed blades. It is not very difficult to open them, and on most Semflex cameras it is quite easy to remove it from the camera body.

What's your problem?
