I'm not doing too well on old cameras at the moment. My Olympus XA's appear to be down for the count, my digital camera's circuitry became irretrievably corroded after it fell in a salty mud puddle, and I think I just made the sticky shutter on my Kodak stereo enough worse that I'll have to send it out. So, how about one more: I have a Yashica FX-1 whose shutter works erratically. I think the first curtain is hanging up and the second curtain isn't, so it leaves a black space of varying size on the left (as you look through the open back). I was told it's probably not too serious - perhaps even a lube issue in the gear train, but it's not worth the quoted price from the camera repair shop of 80-90 bucks. I thought I might tear into it, since it's not much use as it is, but figured to ask first if there is any available service information on the web, before I ruin another camera.
