Hi, the mirror on my MX will not fall to its original position. I rests just before the stop. I would like to use it again, however I doubt the accuracy of the foucus. Is this an easy repair, or one fit for the shop. One last question, the camera uses batteries quickly, and I have to lock the shutter to turn off. Ideas?
Thanks, Michael

Hi,
I may guess is that the foam used to damp the mirror has gone. This turns sticky with age and coul be holding the mirror up. This may also lead to the meter problem. Because the whole cycle is not completing properly, the meter is not turning off.
