I have a Pentax P30 which has completely locked up.
IE... Unable to wind on film, or rewind.
(film could only be removed by opening up the camera in the dark and manually removing it from the take-up spool)
I have previously 'repaired' a Pentax KX which had the same problem by removing the bottom plate and poking and prodding the inards until it started working again, but no such luck with the P30.
Does anybody know what to do with a P30 with this problem?

There's a manual release accessed by removing the bottom plate. W/the lens facing forward, find the cutout notch at the front near the left of the lens mt. Use a small screwdriver to prod the silver colored latch. That should free it up.
