Hi !!...
Anyone knows how to restore and/or clean-off fungus marks on a "Nikon 200mm lens glass element" ?!....
Dismantling the lens was pretty easy to do !!.., and all parts are presently clean as a wistle !!...
Only consern at this time, are the "fungus marks", that are still showing on the multi-coating glass elements !!... Nothing seems to do the work !?....
Any suggestions will help a great deal !?...

In most cases it is possible to remove fungus. You should try to wipe the spots gently with some vinegar. If this does not work, try concentrated vinegar.
But in some cases the fungus has already damaged the coating, and the 'marks' (clear spots with higher reflections) left when removing the fungus cannot be restored. |

Winfried--what about the cold cream treatment? Would you recommend it in this situation? |

i've only tried that once, after reading about it (probably here). it had no effect at all, except i wound up with a slightly greasy lens and nice clean, soft fingers...
