I have a Sears KS Super 35mm SLR. The self timer on it seems to be permanantly stuck on all the time. I'll advance the film ready to take the picture and the self timer light blinks and 10 seconds later it will automatically take the picture. Is there any way to disable the self timer? Is my camera in need of repair or am I just stupid?

Hi, Ray. As I recall, the self-timer button is on top over by the ASA selector knob. I think first I'd see if that button was stuck in the "on" position. That might cause it to operate this way.
