The film advance lever on my Profesional has suddenly decided to ram. It is in almost the full throw position but will neither move forwards to complete the movement nor return to the start. What is the problem likely to be - & is this something I can attempt to repair? All I've done so far is light seals etc!

I had the same problem, I'm not a professional. I opened the top and bottom covers, which is not difficult and easy to assemble back. It was a jam due to wear and poor lubrication, by playing with the various levers and carefully lubricating I manged to get it back to work.
