I have recently picked up a "Focal" F2.8 - 28 mm wide angle lens. The glass is perfect, the focus is smooth, but the aperture won't stop down at all. What could be disconnected?

More likely that the iris is oily rather than anything being disconnected. Crack it open and wash the iris with lighter fuild, dry and then test.

The autostop trigger was disconnected. I bent the actuator arm back up to where the trigger could reach it. It has been good since.
