Does anyone know where I might order a 'battery clip' or 'battery holder' for a nikon fe? Also, does anyone have info on the 'FRE' resistor.Having trouble with my mirror locking up and believe it is a battery problem.

I'm willing to bet that you can still get the battery parts from Nikon. If you have a store with the new Nikon FM3A close by, maybe you can look at one and see if they are the same, or close enough to fit.

It probably also wouldn't be hard to make something, e.g. to cut a suitable size of plastic tubing to slip the cells into.
