Does anyone know the slip-on filter size for the 1950's chrome Canon Serenar 35mm/F3.5 lens ??? (screw mount) It has absolutely no threads at all. Looks to be about 35/36mm. Would like to add a UV filter/shade and try the lens on a Leica IIIc. Thanks...James. |

James, If memory serves me right, this lens used a 36mm slip-on filter. I will check my B&W filter bible when I am home and confirm. Best bet would be Leica A36 type filters and accessories - long discontinued, but available used. Filters are relatively cheap on eBay, unfortunately the hoods tend to be a little on the expensive side. Here is a great link if you are a Canon rangefinder fan: http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/lens/f_lens.html Good luck, Jan |
