I loaned mine out and when it came back the mirror is up and the winder will move. The mirror is not locked up as I can pull it down but it goes back up. The winder does not engage and comes to a stop,.

I've heard a lot of people say you should first just try slamming the camera on the palm of your hand in different directions before trying aything else.

Rickey - your message is a bit light on detail but I make the point that the ME Super mirror will behave as you describe IF the battery is dead.

Install a fresh brand new battery and see if this fixes the issue.

Best
