Anyone know of an easy way to eliminate the shutter sqeek from an A1 or AE-1? |

Yes Do a search. There are numerous posts to this problem. Use a good grade of clock oil or light oil. Do not use WD-40. It dries out and is only softened up with varsol or something similar. |

Having used Canon A1 for over twenty years, my advice is forget it, and live with it. Whatever you do,A1 sqeak is like rust, it always comes back! |

Hi, I've done several posts about oiling the Canon through the bottom of the camera. It should be in the archives. I just fixed the squeek in two of my A1s as well as in my AE-1P. |
