I have a Sears TLS that is in great shape but the meter is not responding. Any ideas on how to revive this or should I just use it manually? Thanks. Mark |

Mark: Mine had the same problem first. Then, I took the top off and give it a gentle air blow, it came back. I blieve the needle was caught by a small piece of debrit. Hope this helps. Kevin |

Common cause is corrosion of battery chamber or of black wire between battery and electronics. Wire can looks well, plastic insulation is intact, but copper is turned into dust. But I have one Ricoh TLS where failure is unrepairable. Galvanometer is bad, the coil of galvanometer is disconnected. It is not repairable. |
