I have a Kowa H from 1963. It is the first SLR with EE. After taking the last frame on a reel, the shutter would not cock when the film was advanced. I have removed the top and bottom but the shutter mechanism is behind the lens which is fixed. Does anyone have knowledge of these cameras and how to remove the lens. I am desperate to get it working again. PS The shutter will cock if the back is given a sharp tap?

Don't give it a tap, although this may be some sort of last straw. If the shutter is inoperative, it won't help. It is quite a while ago since I opened mine which I had got in a terrible state, and the mirror and the finder are still dusty, but the shutter and the selenium meter (misbent needle) are both in working condition again. Disassembly/reassembly is a bit complicated and not recommended to be done by inexperienced tinkerers. I found it useful to take down every step I took during disassembly. After removing the top cap I went in from the front (name plate, lens, etc, the usual routine). As this is a SLR with a Seikosha-GLA shutter (blades were gummed up, just like the aperture blades) things are a bit more complicated as usual, but the cleaning procedure is similar to that of RF camera shutters.

I haven't worked on an H. In the later SETR, the front panel holding the shutter is held on by 4 screws hidden under the leather. As I recall, most service requires taking this off.

in the 60s and still have some parts for them.

Contact on my email address if you require some help.
