I have a problem with my Carena SX 300.
If I press the shutter release button,
the LEDs in the viewfinder go out and I can not release the shutter.
Where is the problem. |

This camera was made in China, and it is the exact same camera as the Minolta X-300. When this happens, either the shutter capacitors have gone bad or the shutter release magnet has become dirty (oily/sticky at the end). Most people replace the shutter capacitors...doing this will deliver a larger bundle of electrons to the magnet release coil and usually make things work again. Can you work on electronics, Andre'? If you can solder carefully, you can replace this. If you need the capacitor, I may have it. Please look in the bottom of your camera and tell me the value.

I have no idea of electronics.
But I have a friend, who is a real "electronics-freak" and I think, he can do this. |

But...
Could it be possible, that there is another reason for my problem?
I forgot to turn the Camera off, so the Camera was turned on for a few Weeks |
