I'm thinking of 'hacking' an old Balda Baldix but before I get started I was wondering how easy it would be to replace the shutter assembly with a more modern one and what (copal) size they are?

Any help you can offer would be gratefully received!

Thanks and best wishes

German shutters have the same size designators as used by Copal : 1, 0, 00 etc. I think there was a table on the website of S.K. Grimes (sorry, do not have a link available) giving the precise diameter and thread informations.
