I've taken my Flash Kodamatic shutter off my Tourist II for a cleaning. Now i'm trying to get it back together. The problem is the flash retard ring (or at least that's what I'm calling it). Is there a trick to getting it set in the right position? Does it need wound up some? Any info this shutter will be greatly appreciated.

You need to retension 1 or 2 times. Before you put the final cover on, pull the cocking ring down all the way, then lift the ring off and move it back to the beginning position. Test it like that. You can add additional tension the same way if it will not run down all the way when released.

Thanks. I think that is what I need. I found a great site for the Tourist camera but it didn't get into the shutter. Here's the link for anyone who is interested.
