I have this little problem with my 4a. When I fire the shutter I usually have to press the release button for the second time in order to advance the film. Otherwise the locking level locks the advance reel.

Also, when the camera is at "B" setting when I press the shutter release button the shutter opens and closes even though I press the button down for a long time. If I really press it hard and fast (I mean fast) then the shutter opens and stays open as long as I press the button down (as it should). I guess the shutter button needs some minor adjustment. How do I do it? How do I prevent the locking level from locking the winding mechanism? Is there a way to adjust its action?

Thanks in advance,

Berk Sirman

heres a step in the right direction, you probably only need a little lube.
