I have an Argus 8 mm film projector whose back reel which pulls the film through the projector is no longer functioning. I'm looking to have it repaired.
I'm in the Grand Rapids, MI (zip: 49512) area and am looking for the nearest reputable and reliable company to repair this machine. Any suggestions? |

In order to repair my Argus Showmaster 500, I had to replace the rubber drive wheel that is attached to the electric motor by 2 set screws. The rubber had turned to goo, and the metal wheel that it engages with needed to be cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol. I ordered it from Huron Camera in Jackson, MI. (http://www.huroncamera.com) Part #42913. $25.00. The Gal that I talked to was very helpful. The repair was fairly straight forward - no special tools were required, just small screwdrivers, sockets and an allen wrench for the set screws.
Once you take the cover off, you should be able to see if that is actually your problem. |
