I need to know what a transporter is and what it does. Is it part of the motordrive or does it have to do with film advance? |

This word is not familiar to me. Where did you see/hear it? |

I'm at a loss too. Unless...unless you mean the toothed spindle that engages the holes in 35mm film. Btw, what type of camera are you talking about? Henry |

Mike, You can find a number of references to 'film transport mechanism' in various books/manuals.It can mean anything from a lever wind to a full motor drive.Your request could be due to a badly translated instruction book and the word transporter,a complete 'red herring'. However I do wonder how you and others, who post these non-specific requests expect to get sensible answers.Having a scientific background I am used to dealing with facts,so am more than happy to spend time searching for answers to someone's problem,if I am presented with all the relevant details. What does annoy is having to spend time asking what the symptoms are or what the equipment is,before solving the problem. Glenn. |
