Hello.
I'm going to get Zeiss Ikon Contessamat, but it has not working light meter. As far as I understant, it's selenium exposure meter, that's "exhausted" due to its age. Is it possible to repair it?

Thanks.

Dmitriy,

GIMA GmbH in Munich, Germany, (www.fotowerkstattgima.de) has spare selenium cells for Zeiss camera's. I recently had a Contaflex Super B, which suffered among other things from a defective light meter, completely overhauled by them. They did a top job, but at a solid price.
You have three options: pay a lot to have the camera restored in its original splendor, use the camera as-is with a hand held light meter, or (depending on your camera-tinkering abilities) search for another Contessamat with a working light meter on eBay Germany: last week there was one sold for less than 20 Euro.
Good luck.

I have a Zeiss Icon Contraflex Super and my darling grandaughter dropped it and I believe the light meter was damaged. Any place in Mass. or Va. I can turn for help?
